  Purolite® A109

Macroporous Weak Base Anion Exchange Resin

Purolite A109 is a macroporous-type anion exchange resin with a polystyrene matrix. The high porosity ensures excellent removal of organic matter from both aqueous and organic solutions in conjunction with its reversible removal upon regeneration. The pure weak base primary functionality results in high capacity for certain specific anions and the high regeneration efficiency. Substantially lower levels of sodium hydroxide are often required, compared with a resin containing more strongly basic groups. Purolite A109 has excellent chemical and thermal stability, resistance to attrition and osmotic shock. These properties make the resin ideal for use in the pharmaceutical, chemical, and food processing industries, for the neutralisation of strong acids and for other processes. Purolite A109 is available in alternative particle size ranges.
